As a Director of ProMare and Heritage Lead on the Maritime Library project, I work closely with a small team to preserve and share maritime knowledge and heritage.

The
Maritime Library project is designed to make valuable collections accessible online through 3D scanning, attract a global audience, and enhance visits and volunteer involvement bringing maritime heritage to life.
We're currently collaborating with The Box, Real Ideas and the Devonport Naval Heritage Centre.

In my role as Heritage Lead, I research and document maritime artefacts selected for 3D scanning, translating complex data into accessible formats for educational use and heritage preservation. This has included researching digital preservation technologies and developing strategies to present the data in ways that benefit local communities, including through online platforms, VR experiences, and gamified content. The role also encompasses fundraising and budget planning. Additionally, I designed the project's website, creating an engaging user experience that encourages public interaction.

I have shared my insights and experiences with other professionals through the Institute of Conservation's
Emerging Professionals Network (EPN) and would like to continue presenting my findings and approaches throughout the project.
